How to print patterns at home

No plotter or copy shop needed: any printer will do.

  1. Download the PDF from the editor

Choose your size or measurements, select the paper (Letter or A4 at home; full size, plotter roll or large sheets at a print shop) and tap "Download PDF".

  2. Print at 100%

In the print dialog turn off "Fit to page". Scale must be 100% or "actual size".

  3. Check the scale

Measure the test square: the white inside must be 10 × 5 cm. If not, fix the scale before printing the rest.

  4. Tape the pages

Each page shows its position (A1, A2, B1…). Lay them out following the map on the first page, align the frame edges and tape them.

  5. At a print shop or plotter

Ask for it to be printed "at actual size, 100%, no scaling". The full-size PDF needs no taping; roll and large-sheet PDFs include the same assembly map.

  6. Cut along the outer line

The solid line is the stitching line; the outer dashed line includes the 1 cm seam allowance. Cut on the dashed line.
